Steph Curry (35-Golden State Warriors) says he wants to play as long as LeBron James.

Curry recently appeared on former NBA player Gilbert Arenas’ podcast and expressed his desire to play in the NBA for a long time.

When asked by Arenas “how long do you want to play,” Curry replied, “I want to play as long as LeBron.

“Not too long ago, I didn’t think anyone could play past the age of 40, but I think I can do it if I put in the work,” Curry added.

“Who knows what my body will be like when I get to that point,” he said, adding that he’s focused on the present rather than the future, saying, “I still have three years left on my contract and I’ve got to make it work.”

LeBron is considered an all-time great in the NBA and led the Los Angeles Lakers to the Western Conference Finals in his 20th season, so he’s still an incredibly strong player. Curry also had an incredible run last season, leading the Golden State Warriors to the title. The two met in the Western Conference semifinals and produced an epic game. 메이저사이트

We previously reported that Curry is expected to still be in Golden State in three years, when he’ll be LeBron’s age, if he keeps up his current form. He has declared on several occasions that he wants to remain the franchise star of Golden State.

“No matter how many years I play, I want to achieve the feat of playing for one franchise and being part of a legendary group that has won at the highest level,” Curry said, emphasizing that he is blessed to be a one-club man.

“I don’t take it for granted. You have Kobe (Bryant), Magic (Johnson), Dirk (Nowitzki), Tim Dungan, those guys were influential in establishing the (franchise star) culture and they accomplished a lot outside of their careers,” he said, adding that he hopes to follow in their footsteps.

Meanwhile, Curry, a four-time NBA champion, two-time regular season MVP, four-time scoring champion, nine-time All-NBA selection, and member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, will begin his 15th season in October.
